Delta 8 THC Cartridge is Clogged - Free Guide 21
Your Delta 8 THC cartridge might get clogged from time to time, and this is perfectly normal. Delta -8 THC is an isomer of the hemp plant and is an extract. What this means is that Delta-8 THC, in its raw form is a very thick, sticky substance. The good news is there are several simple solutions in order to avoid your Delta 8 THC cartridge from getting clogged.
Solutions For A Clogged Delta 8 THC Cartridge
Your cart or pod may be clogging for a couple of different reasons. First, it is important to store your delta 8 THC cartridge upright at all times. Also, you will want to avoid leaving it in extreme temperatures like a hot car or a cold freezer. We recommend storing your Delta 8 THC Cartridge at room temperature.
The main reason your cart may be getting clogged is because when heat is applied (this happens when vaping your cart) the delta 8 becomes more viscous. In other words, it thins out so that it can move through the cartridge system to create vapor. Every time you are not using your cart the delta 8 thickens up again causing clogs.
Troubleshooting Delta 8 THC Cartridges
We understand that when a Delta 8 THC Cartridge gets clogged it can cause some frustration. You’ve paid good money for your product and now it doesn’t seem to be working.
However, there are a couple of things you can do to troubleshoot your clogged Delta 8 THC Cartridge. If you are experiencing a clog, first try to take a few puffs without pressing the fire button. Keep doing this until you hear/feel a “pop” which is the clog becoming unclogged.
If that does not work and you have a pre-heat function on your device you will want to turn on that feature. It will cause the Delta 8 THC to warm up within the cartridge; this will make it viscous enough to move about the cart and become useable again.
Some devices don't have a pre-heat function; if your devices doesn't have one you can press the fire button on your device without “sucking” a couple of times.
You will want to keep repeating this process for about 1-3 seconds to warm up the delta-8 thc inside your cartridge. If that still does not work, find a hair dryer and aim it at your cart to warm up the delta 8 thc and get it moving again.
You might have to do one or all of these steps a couple of times to get the clog removed, but just be patient it should come unclogged.
If you are experiencing a clog within the mouthpiece of your cartridge, we recommend the same steps as above but be careful when sucking and hitting the fire button at the same time because if the mouthpiece does come unclogged during this process, there is a potential for a little hot Delta 8 THC on your lips or in your mouth so just be aware of that.
To keep this issue from happening here is what we recommend. Every time you are done using your cartridge, get a q-tip or a piece of paper towel and wipe out the inside of the mouthpiece as best you can so that the remints of delta 8 thc that made it up into the mouthpiece during use does not re solidify, causing a clog.
Conclusion
These solutions can apply to other types of products that include CBD Cartridges, and Marijuana Cartridges. The reason this happens is because the Delta 8 THC inside the cartridge is very thick and sticky. Therefore, if not properly stored or handled it can cause it to stop releasing vapor. Before you throw away your cartridge we recommend trying these solutions first.
